Production Crew II at CONARD PYLE COMPANY – WEST GROVE, Pennsylvania

Reports to: Young Plant Grower

Job Type: Full time, hourly, non-exempt

Location: Cochranville, PA

Performs various operational functions related to plant cultivation and care.

• Helps maintain smooth operations in the production department by following established policies and procedures.
• Works in all growing areas, including the main greenhouse, container trial area, E Range, and evaluation fields.
• Performs plant care activities including, trimming, weeding, grading, topdressing, propagating, and planting.
• Assists with hand watering as needed.
• Harvest, prep, and stick cuttings. Places finished cuttings in main greenhouse.
• Consolidates plants in greenhouse as directed.
• May assist with shipping functions, uses shipping paperwork to locate plant material in greenhouse.
• Cleans greenhouse areas including, shipping and hallway areas.
• May operate trucks, tractors and forklifts.
• Works in all weather conditions.
• Performs other duties as required.

• While performing the work in the greenhouse or outside, the employee is required to continually stand and to frequently walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or tools or controls.
• The employee must have the ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds and to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• While performing outside duties, the employee may be exposed to various extreme temperatures and weather conditions, and even toxic material.
• Ability to operate basic tools and equipment
