Description

  • Leads and oversees organizational process improvement activities and strategic initiatives through the application of change management and lean methodology to facilitate organizational adoption & growth.
  • Oversees Project Management Office (PMO) and manages enterprise portfolio of projects; identifies business cases, resource constraints, cross-dependencies & risks for the organization.
  • Facilitates collective accomplishment of targeted organizational goals and KPIs to include improved productivity, increased fiscal responsibility, enhanced efficiency, and favorable business outcomes.
  • Fosters organizational adoption of project management, strategic development, and process improvement methodology (and all associated processes & tools).
  • Develops business cases and executive summaries for strategic proposals including scope, timelines, short and long-term goals, KPIs, and objectives that align with organizational goals, and ensure ROI.
  • Promotes regular project communications with organizational leadership and key stakeholders; outlines strategic updates, project status, cost-benefit analysis (ROI, NPV, breakeven/payback period, IRR), sustainability efforts, and organizational risk (via standard progress reports, data analytics, dashboards, etc.).
  • Oversees the PMO staff/team execution and drives the day-to-day PMO activities, to ensure on-time deliverables for all managed programs/projects, operating efficiencies and continuous improvement. Builds and maintains strong relationships with Initiative Leaders, IS Management, and Operations Managers.
  • Designs, develops, and manages enterprise project management capabilities and structure through training, coaching, group and individual meetings, discussion, best practices, streamlined processes, and standard tools.
  • Fosters an organizational culture of continuous improvement and growth through the application of change management and process improvement methodologies in conjunction with process design/mapping, training/education, value-stream activities, and standard problem-solving methods.
  • Partners with leadership to create consistent and applicable policies and procedures allowing for sustainable change initiatives in the development of strategic plans, implementation dates, and measures of effectiveness. Establishes and drives project governance standards across the enterprise.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Master’s Degree strongly preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in a leadership position with a team required.
  • Minimum of 3 years in project management/tracking experience required.
  • Healthcare, managed care or IS experience preferred.

Licensure

  • Six Sigma Certification preferred.
  • Project Management Professional and/or Management Certificates preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems and technologies, including clinical and business systems.
  • Strong knowledge of change management and strategic planning.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in direct team management and matrix management. Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to technology, business and clinical systems.
