Urban Rec Victoria is hiring a Summer Student Digital Marketing Coordinator to help capture and share the energy of our leagues, tournaments, and events across the city.

This is a great opportunity for a student interested in marketing, communications, media, or sport management to gain real-world experience creating content, running social media, and supporting community-based programming.

What You’ll Do

📱 Content Creation & Social Media

Capture photos and videos at league nights, tournaments, and special events Create and post content on Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms Film and edit short-form videos Write captions that highlight teams, players, and community moments Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages 📣 Marketing & Promotions

Help promote leagues, tournaments, and new programs Assist with email newsletters, social posts, and simple graphics Support marketing campaigns leading up to key events like registration and playoffs 🎥 Storytelling & Community Impact

Capture player stories, testimonials, and behind-the-scenes moments Help showcase the inclusive, social, and fun atmosphere of Urban Rec Keep content organized and aligned with league schedules 🏟️ Event Support & Operations

Assist with event setup and takedown (equipment, signage, courts/fields, etc.) Support on-site event operations alongside staff (check-in, coordination, troubleshooting) Help ensure events run smoothly and participants have a great experience Be a friendly, visible presence representing Urban Rec at leagues and tournaments 🗂️ Organization & Support

Organize photos and videos for future use Assist with basic reporting (social media performance, event coverage) What We’re Looking For

Current student (or recent graduate) in marketing, communications, sport management, or a related field Passion for sports, recreation, and community events Comfortable using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) Basic experience with tools like Canva, CapCut, or similar Willingness to work evenings and weekends at events Outgoing, creative, and reliable Why This Job is Awesome
