About This Position
Job Summary:
The Front Desk Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the front desk department, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient check-in/check-out process, and effective resolution of guest concerns. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong leadership ability, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily activities of front desk agents, including training and scheduling.
- Ensure a welcoming and efficient check-in and check-out experience for all guests.
- Address and resolve guest inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally.
- Motivate and mentor front desk staff to maintain high standards of guest service.
- Monitor front desk operations to ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Act as a liaison between guests and other departments to ensure guest needs are met
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill guest requests.
- Handle escalated guest complaints and emergencies with tact and professionalism
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, transactions, and incidents. Prepare and submit required reports to management
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in front desk or guest services role in a hotel or resort setting with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using Opera and Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Dakota Dunes Resort is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
