Clinic Nurse Supervisor at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides clinic management support and supervision of assigned staff in the designated clinic setting. Performs the nursing process in a safe therapeutic manner in an inpatient setting. Provides direct patient care of assigned patients in the inpatient setting and intensive care unit. Monitors ESRD/AKI patients on dialysis. Supports and adheres to University Health System and department specific policies and standards. Mentors and assists in supervising clinical staff. Provides clinic management support for the Acute Dialysis Patient Care Coordinator.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required (Magnet). Must have at least three years clinical outpatient or inpatient dialysis nursing with two years of supervisory/charge experience in nursing. Experience within the University Health is desirable.

LICENSURE
Must possess a current license to practice Registered Nursing in the State of Texas. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card.
