Staff Accountant, Full Time, Home Office
The Home Office Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across EveryAge. Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for general accounting functions including account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting support, audit preparation, and assistance with month-end and year-end close processes. Duties may vary based on program assignment and departmental priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries and supporting schedules
- Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare and review general ledger and recurring journal entries
- Support the preparation of financial statements and internal financial reports
- Prepare audit schedules and provide documentation for internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with organizational accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
- Collaborate with Finance team members and other departments to meet reporting deadlines
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required
- Provide backup support for accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Assist Finance leadership with special projects, analysis, and process improvement initiatives
Minimal Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
Minimal Qualifications:
2+ years of accounting experience- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and related functions)
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
