Now Hiring – Full-Time Pharmacist for our Rocky Hill, Connecticut location.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM OR 8:30AM - 5:00PM EST

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy – We provide specialized care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the United States. We have been providing long-term care pharmacy services since 2007, but we originated as part of our independent retail pharmacy, Tarrytown Pharmacy, which has been serving the local community since 1941. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages the workflow processes which may include pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging
• Reviews medication orders and evaluates their appropriateness and completeness
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the Connecticut State Boards of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
• Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive and team-oriented approach
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules and standards
• All other duties as assigned by Pharmacist-in-Charge

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3 years preferred
• Must possess a Connecticut State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
• Order Entry experience required
• Minimal typing speed of 40WPM preferred
• Medical Records experience preferred
• Positive personality who is able to work well within a team
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy
