The ideal candidate is a recognized authority in AI/ML with a proven track record of producing innovative, high-quality solutions to complex problems. This role requires strong technical leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD). Key Responsibilities:

Develop innovative AI/ML approaches to address complex and technologically advanced challenges.
Serve as a recognized expert, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to internal teams and external partners.
Coordinate the planning, development, and execution of cutting-edge research programs designed to experimentally validate novel AI/ML concepts.
Lead testing and evaluation activities for research efforts to ensure technical rigor and readiness for transition.
Support the integration and transition of research outcomes into operational environments.
Collaborate with IC and DoD partners on research initiatives, ensuring alignment with mission needs and technical standards.
Prepare and deliver high-quality technical briefings, documentation, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Plan, manage, and track progress across complex technical projects, including coordinating technical exchange meetings, working groups, and research reviews.
Lead and/or support proposal development for IC, DoD, and AI/ML R&D efforts, including capture shaping, solution architecture, and technical volume authorship.
Translate mission needs into compelling, testable technical approaches; define problem statements, hypotheses, success criteria, and evaluation plans suitable for government review.
Support proposal orals and customer engagements: prepare briefs, coach presenters, and respond to evaluation notices/ENs and clarifications.
Partner with capture, contracts, and program leadership to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, compliant, and executable in classified environments.

Required Qualifications:-
Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with experience developing Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.
Ability to obtain Secret DoD Clearance
5 years of experience and a PhD degree. OR a MA/MS degree and 10years of experience; OR a BA/BS degree and 15 years of experience. Experience must be recognized within a discipline relevant to the work associated with the position.
Recognized expertise in AI/ML with demonstrated experience in designing and deploying advanced solutions.
Experience coordinating and executing research programs, including experimental validation and evaluation of AI/ML technologies.
Proven success transitioning research prototypes into operational or mission environments.
Experience collaborating with IC and DoD agencies on research or development projects.
Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to brief diverse audiences.
Experience planning, tracking, and reporting on complex technical projects.
Ability to lead and coordinate technical discussions, working groups, and cross-disciplinary teams

Experience with emerging AI/ML research areas (e.g., foundation models, multimodal learning, reinforcement learning, trustworthy AI).
Familiarity with research proposal development and government R&D processes.
