The Shuttle Manager oversees the operations of a location, under the leadership of the Director of Operations to ensure 24/7 professional management. As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the Shuttle Manager will support the programs and initiatives originating from our home office and help to support the individual needs of their operational teams throughout their assigned location. The Shuttle Managers job demands flexible availability as the manager is responsible for staffing and assisting with driver coverage for his team that operates 24hrs.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Meet with Director of Operations, and Shuttles Supervisor, 1-2 times a week for 2-4 hours in total to discuss current team performance, disciplinary actions that need to be taken, highlight/rave those who are succeeding, game plan for the upcoming week, share data and trends to make decisions in the field.
  • Meet with Client once/week at minimum, to ensure expectations are being met, share data from the field, promote positive changes, and discuss future opportunities.
  • Pre-Shift Drivers each day scheduled to work to make sure everyone is prepared and knows what their responsibilities are for the day.
  • Responsible for the management of Call-Offs, No-Shows, finding coverage, or filling the shift.
  • Work directly with Talent Acquisition/HR to make sure staffing levels are accurately communicated and holes are being filled.
  • Conduct New Hire Training for the Shuttle Operation.
  • Lead Bi-Monthly All-Staff Meetings to be in compliance with LAZ Standards and Client Expectations
  • Have a full understanding of Vehicle Logistics Programs, Maintenance SOP, Route SOP, and Emergency SOPs
  • Oversee and maintain all occupancy inputs for passenger counts.
  • Oversee and maintain all pre/post vehicle inspections.
  • Perform a Weekly Check of all Busses/Supplies and note any damaged or missing items to Director. Investigate, correct, and replace.
  • Have a full understanding of Bus Routes and communicate any changes that are made to the team.
  • Help lead various projects that the client may have us complete to better manage the operation or expand into new areas.
  • Work directly with our Drivers to ensure success of the team and be an example.
  • Have a full understanding of Shuttle Driver Expectations and Lead, direct, and develop team of shuttle drivers within those guidelines.
  • Manage, plan, schedule, train, and direct the activities of on-site shuttle drivers.
  • Identifying high potential employees to support the organizations continued growth.
  • Ensure drivers are driving the proper routes and hitting the scheduled pick-up times while keeping on schedule.
  • Responsible for payroll processing; ensuring sign off on hours in timely manner; collaborate with the local payroll department to ensure pay data is completed properly; work with Human Resources Manager to ensure proper wage and hour compliance.
  • Oversee the transition of newly assigned locations from acceptance of contract through opening of location ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Responsible for developing client relationships and business retention.
  • Understand, implement, and deliver all requirements that are outlined within the contractual agreement between LAZ Parking and our clients.
  • Assist the region with the operations preparation for potential new locations including rate surveys, ticket pulls, etc.
  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual financial and operational reports as required.
  • Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the operation of assigned location(s).
  • Communicate effectively with all required entities regarding operation emergencies.
  • Assist with the monitoring, review, and analysis of the market rate structure.
  • Additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have valid DOT Certification and have at least 2 years of licensed driving experience.
  • Must have an unexpired Medical Certificate or be able to pass a physical
  • Must be able to meet the following MVR guidelines.
  • Have a clean driving record (no moving violations in 3 years and no DUI convictions, suspended license, etc.).
  • No active reckless driving violations (within 3 years).
  • No active leave the scene, vehicular homicide/assault violations.
  • No more than one "Minor" violation in a 3 year period (accident, speeding 21+ mph, other moving violations).
  • Maintain a professional appearance (no body piercings or visible tattoos on forearms or legs).
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

Physical Demands:

- Ability to work in the elements -- heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.- Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.- Ability to drive continuously in the designated shuttle for a minimum of 2-3 hours.- Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.- Ability to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.- Ability to perform functions that require repetitive motions using hands, wrists and arms.- Ability to perform functions that require repetitive motions using ankles, knees and hips.- Ability to express or exchange information, instructions, ideas, etc. by means of the spoken word.
