Key ResponsibilitiesInstall underground plumbing systems before concrete slab pours
Layout and rough-in for sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and domestic water systems
Set sleeves, stub-ups, cleanouts, and wall/floor penetrations
Read and interpret slab plans, specs, and elevations
Confirm correct slopes, pipe locations, and clearances per code
Coordinate inspections and pressure testing prior to pour
Identify conflicts with rebar, post-tension cables, footings, or other trades
Ensure protection of penetrations and piping before slab pour
Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsite conditions
Communicate issues or changes with supervisors proactively
Minimum 5+ years of underground plumbing experience (commercial preferred)
Deep knowledge of sanitary, storm, and domestic water systems
Skilled in blueprint and layout reading with strong attention to slope/elevation accuracy
Familiar with inspection prep, pressure testing, and local plumbing codes
Self-sufficient and decisive when working independently
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Owns basic hand tools and layout equipment for underground work
Comfortable working in active jobsite conditions and varied weather
Preferred: Journeyman plumber license (or willingness to work toward certification with company support)
