This role focuses on establishing long-term relationships with senior military leaders, positioning solutions for modernization programs, and enabling downstream capture by Business Development and Sales teams. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor, orchestrating cross-functional engagement to align technical solutions with evolving capability roadmaps. Success in this role means building advocacy, identifying emerging opportunities, and contributing to multi-year revenue growth. The position offers high autonomy, requires senior-level strategic influence, and may involve up to 50% travel to maintain key relationships and program oversight. - Serve as the senior market leader for the U.S. Army, leveraging established networks to shape requirements and advocate for solutions in modernization programs.
- Drive early visibility and engagement in Program of Record and OTA opportunities, ensuring technical alignment with long-term capability roadmaps.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Sales, Business Development, Engineering, Product, and Executive Leadership to execute unified pursuit strategies.
- Provide continuous market intelligence, capturing trends in tactical communications, EW, spectrum management, and Army modernization programs.
- Represent the organization at senior Army, DoD, and industry forums to promote thought leadership and institutional advocacy.
- Develop and execute a Market Development Plan with shaping objectives, key relationships, and pursuit milestones in coordination with stakeholders.
- Contribute to pipeline growth by identifying and maturing multi-year program opportunities toward Business Development hand-off.
- Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in strategic relationship management, account management, or government relations within the defense industry.
- Extensive prior U.S. Army service (e.g., former General Officer) or senior civilian experience (GS-15/SES equivalent) or defense industry executive experience.
- Established, verifiable network of senior-level Army contacts (PEOs, Program Offices, TRADOC, Futures Command, operational units).
- Deep knowledge of U.S. Army tactical network missions, structure, and procurement processes.
- Exceptional executive-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical thinking, and big picture orientation.
- Ability to operate autonomously and build trust as a credible advisor.
- Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Preferred: Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college, experience with C5ISR, tactical communications, unmanned systems, or spectrum/EW applications.
- Competitive base salary ($200,000$280,000 USD) based on experience and qualifications.
- Remote work flexibility with preference for proximity to key Army commands.
