Summary We are looking for an innovative and skilled Design Associate to join our growing marketing team. This team is dedicated to utilizing cutting-edge AI solutions across the organization. In this role, you'll leverage state-of-the-art generative AI tools alongside traditional methods to create high-quality, impactful design content tailored to various needs, including print, web, video, and other content-driven initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of prompt engineering techniques to accurately communicate styles, themes, and visual elements to large language models (LLMs) for design generation. Additionally, you'll fine-tune and edit content using industry-standard software to achieve a professional finish and ensure visual excellence.

This position is critical to our content creation and marketing efforts, blending design expertise with project management skills. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams to support promotional campaigns, create engaging visual content, and ensure that all marketing materials align with our brand identity. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about visual storytelling and can contribute to the innovation and growth of Potomac.

This role is 100% onsite in Bethesda, MD.

What You’ll Do Develop detailed prompts and guidelines to accurately communicate desired design and video aesthetics, styles, and content components to AI models. Collaborate with various departments to understand their needs and create tailored content solutions. Work with marketing, research, and sales teams to align design and video outputs with strategic objectives. Stay updated with advancements in generative AI tools and integrate them effectively into the content creation process. Review all content for accuracy, brand aesthetics, and coherence to ensure alignment with project goals. Bring a fresh perspective to production, leveraging generative AI capabilities to produce innovative and impactful visual content. Monitor and analyze the performance of visual content and iterate to improve based on feedback and engagement metrics. Mentor team members and stakeholders on best practices in using generative AI tools for content creation. Keep the company’s image fresh and relevant. Organize, archive, and maintain a library of design assets and ensure brand integrity across all visuals. Ability to work on-site in Bethesda, MD. Bachelor's degree in Film, Digital Media, or Communications, ideally with a specialization in technology. Relevant experience may be substituted. 2+ years of experience using generative AI tools for content creation, with demonstrated expertise in prompt engineering. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools Ability to find innovative solutions using generative AI technologies to achieve visual storytelling goals. Strong eye for detail in video design, color grading, sound editing, and transitions. Understanding of AI-based tools, LLM capabilities, and an eagerness to stay current with evolving AI technologies. Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and handle multiple stakeholders' needs. A comprehensive portfolio showcasing professional video projects, including examples of AI-generated content. Willingness to learn new software, tools, and workflows to stay at the forefront of digital video production. Effective written and verbal communication skills to articulate creative concepts and technical details. Preferred

2+ years in the wealth management or wider financial services industry Experience with mirrorless camera systems (e.g., Blackmagic Design, Cannon, etc.) Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS Objectives Enhance the volume of work we produce by supporting our content production efforts Comply with legal and compliance regulations at all times Setup and teardown the studio for a variety of set designs Ensure all visual assets adhere strictly to brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in style, color, and voice. Maintain a keen understanding of current social media trends and optimal video formats. Potomac is not your typical asset manager.
