Job Overview:

RWJBH is seeking a Quality Coordinator for our Quality Resource Services areas at the New Brunswick campus.

The Quality Coordinator provides clinical and quality metric analysis, to ensure MMCSC patients receive safe, high quality of care and a best in class patient experience. Utilizing Performance Analytics tools and other available systems like Press Ganey, CMS Stars, US News and World Report, Leapfrog, Vizient, Nuance, EPIC, qNet, etc.

The Coordinator will be responsible for working closely with assigned areas to facilitate peer review, promote patient safety and support regulatory compliance. They will utilize principles of continuous quality improvement in all work situations to assess measure and improve organizational and department functions.

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in a health related field required
  • At least 3-5 years of healthcare experience required
  • National certification for clinical specialty
  • Strong interpersonal communication, organizational skills, and technology presentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Must demonstrate team building and collaborative practice behaviors
  • Must demonstrate understanding of performance improvement and quality outcomes management
Preferred:

    Masters in Science in Nursing preferred
Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • BLS and ACLS Certification through AHA
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift,
  • Monday – Friday with some weekend commitment required
Essential Functions:

  • The Coordinator will report program metrics to stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • The Coordinator will perform chart and in person audits to ensure compliance with mandatory requirements
  • The Coordinator will work with specific assigned areas to understand and promote performance improvement within those areas
  • Participation in organizational meetings
  • Preparation and participation in regulatory surveys
  • Responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments examples damaged floors, walls, ceiling tiles, unsecured areas and medical errors, etc,
  • The coordinator will assist with data requirement gathering, prepare reports to measure and trend key performance metrics and present results in an analytical manner,
