Lead Exhibit Carpenter at CATALYST MXE – Las Vegas, Nevada

SPOON Events, a Catalyst MXE company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Exhibit Carpenter to oversee and coordinate our exhibit carpentry team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team in creating high-quality trade show structures and displays, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have trade show industry expertise, possess strong leadership abilities, and have a solid understanding of carpentry materials and techniques.

Position/Title: Lead Exhibit Carpenter

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Location: Las Vegas

Compensation: $32 - $35/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and supervise the workload of the exhibit carpentry team, ensuring timely and efficient project completion

- Cut, fabricate, and install wooden and other structural components according to detailed specifications

- Cut and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other exhibit install items where designated

- Collaborate with project managers and clients to interpret design plans and ensure accurate execution

- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all health and safety standards and protocols

- Monitor and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring proper use and safety

- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment

- Ensure quality control throughout all stages of construction

- 5+ years of experience in carpentry, with a focus on exhibit or trade show structures preferred

- 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role

- Strong knowledge of wood properties, carpentry materials, and tools

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints as well as technical drawings and specifications

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- OSHA certification

- Completion of a carpentry apprentice program required
