Beach Volleyball Assistant Coach at ACADEMY OF OUR LADY PEACE – San Diego, California

Job Overview

The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is currently accepting applications for a Girls' Beach Volleyball Assistant Coach for the Spring 2025 season. This is a seasonal interscholastic coaching position for a competitive CIF girls' Beach Volleyball program. We are interested in finding someone who will serve as an excellent role model to represent OLP with experience and dedication to developing the program and building it for future seasons.

The assistant coach must be able to deal with and encourage the individual to greater levels of participation and skill. At the same time, the assistant coach must constantly work with the group to develop team spirit, cooperation, and fair play. The assistant coach models sportsmanship and competition. The assistant coach is an exemplary model of ethics and moral behavior.

The assistant coach should uphold the School Mission and implement it throughout their respective program. The assistant coach agrees to lead and supervise student-athletes in alignment with the mission and values of the Academy of Our Lady of Peace.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and conducting practices, training, and competitions.
• Teaching sport-specific skills, strategies, and sportsmanship.
• Ensuring athlete safety, supervision, and proper conduct at all team activities.
• Communicating professionally with athletes, families, and school personnel.
• Collaborating with the Athletic Department on scheduling, uniforms/equipment, transportation, and facilities.
• Supporting academic success, character development, and positive team culture.
• Complying with all OLP, CIF, and league rules and completing required certifications (including LiveScan and CPR/First Aid).
• Attending required meetings and assisting with inventory, equipment, and uniform procedures.
