About the Role & Team

Boston, MA (Hybrid – 2 days per week in our downtown Boston office).

IDC is seeking an Accounting Senior Manager, North America to lead accounting operations for our U.S. and Canada entities. This role owns the regional general ledger and close process and plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while driving process modernization, automation, and scalable accounting operations.

Reporting to the VP of Accounting, Americas, the Accounting Senior Manager will lead a team of four and collaborate with global finance teams across APAC and EMEA. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with a system-oriented mindset and a passion for improving how finance teams work through automation, data, and modern tools.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage accounting operations for IDC’s U.S. and Canada entities, including general ledger accounting, internal financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead and mentor the North America accounting team of four members
  • Own and manage the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Group Accounting Policies, and internal control requirements
  • Support external audits and coordinate with auditors as needed
  • Partner closely with cross-functional finance teams including Revenue, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Consolidation & Reporting, Tax, Treasury, and FP&A
  • Collaborate with global finance stakeholders across APAC and EMEA
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes, leveraging ERP capabilities, reporting tools, and emerging technologies including AI where appropriate
  • Partner with finance leadership to improve financial systems, data quality, and reporting workflows
  • Support and optimize the use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related finance systems


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or experience at a Big 4 or top tier public accounting firm is preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience with strong general ledger expertise
  • Experience leading or mentoring accounting staff
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience working with a major ERP system and IA platforms as Claude or Chat GPT(experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and One Stream is a plus)
  • Interest in finance systems, process automation, and modern accounting tools
  • Ability to analyze complex contracts and determine appropriate accounting treatment
  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to adopt new technologies to improve accounting operations

Compensation Transparency

At IDC, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. Employees are compensated equitably for their work, aligned with their skills and experience. Salary and incentive structures are determined through a rigorous process that considers experience, education, certifications, role-specific requirements, internal equity, and verified U.S. market data from an independent third-party partner.

The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $100,000 – $120,000, inclusive of base salary and variable compensation.
