About This Position

DIRECT HIRE: The Electrical Foreman supervises field crews and manages day-to-day electrical installation activities for commercial construction projects. This role ensures electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, schedules, and code requirements. The position requires strong leadership in the field and regular travel between job sites throughout the Monroe and Charlotte, North Carolina region.

đź•’ Base hours/Schedule: M - F, 7am - 4pm

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise electricians and apprentices on commercial electrical construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications

  • Coordinate daily jobsite activities including installation of conduit systems, wiring, electrical panels, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment

  • Direct all phases of electrical construction including underground conduit installation, rough-in work, electrical service installation, and final trim-out

  • Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and project drawings to plan installation activities and guide field crews

  • Install and oversee installation of service equipment including switchgear, transformers, meter banks, distribution panels, and branch circuit systems

  • Coordinate electrical work with general contractors, project managers, inspectors, and other trades to maintain construction schedules and workflow

  • Monitor jobsite productivity and manpower performance while assigning daily tasks to electrical crews

  • Ensure all installations comply with the National Electrical Code, local electrical codes, and project specifications

  • Conduct routine jobsite inspections to verify quality workmanship and identify potential issues before inspections

  • Coordinate electrical inspections with local building departments and ensure work is prepared for rough-in, service, and final approvals

  • Maintain jobsite documentation including daily reports, material usage, and project progress updates

  • Coordinate delivery and staging of electrical materials including conduit, wire, panels, lighting fixtures, and equipment

  • Troubleshoot electrical installation issues and provide technical guidance to crew members in the field

  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations

  • Conduct safety briefings and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices

  • Travel regularly between commercial job sites within the Monroe and Charlotte metropolitan area to support ongoing projects

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of commercial electrical construction experience

  • 2+ years of experience as a lead electrician or foreman supervising electrical crews

  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, installation practices, and construction workflows

  • Working knowledge of the NEC and local electrical regulations

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

  • Experience installing and supervising installation of electrical service equipment, conduit systems, and branch circuits

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites within the Monroe and Charlotte area

  • OSHA safety training or certification preferred
