Description
Responsibilities
- Responsible for strategic planning, administration, design, implementation, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and communication of corporate-wide benefit plans and programs aligned to human resource objectives.
- Responsible for administration of all benefit programs, including health, prescription, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, and other voluntary benefit programs.
- Analyze, monitor and benchmark effectiveness, efficiency and expense of all plans, programs and processes. Lead activities to evaluate, recommend, and implement changes and improvements in programs across the Company. Monitor benefit trends and competitive practices to offer best practice recommendations through surveys, industry and professional networking.
- Advise HR Leadership team and other leaders on compensation and benefits strategy, philosophy, programs, and practices to meet the needs of a diverse workforce. Serve as a subject matter expert and a point of contact and provide meaningful reporting to management.
- Responsible for vendor selection, vendor and contractor relationships, contracts and service agreements.
- Monitor and liaison with third-party vendors to deliver quality service and programs. Responsible for benefits processes including reviewing reports, conducting performance meetings, and ensuring compliance with plan provisions.
- Communicate and deliver materials to educate employees about benefit options. Coordinate changes in plan documents and summary plan descriptions, including communication plans.
- Works closely with HR systems and other internal resources and / or third-party vendors to ensure information provided is thorough and accurate.
- Assist in reviewing the company’s benefits plans, policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance with government regulations, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
- Timely completion of associated regulatory reporting requirements including equity SEC filings and the Company’s 1094-C, 1095-C, and Dept of Labor 5500 health plan annual reporting requirements.
- Accountable for financial program reconciliations, auditable standards, and review of budget allocations of benefits plans.
- Collaborate with internal departments to refine existing processes and procedures and develop new efficiencies.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement through the mindset and cultivation of Agile practices and principles.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Degree(s) and advanced degree(s) are strongly encouraged in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other relevant discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in a Total Rewards, Benefits, or a related function
- Knowledge of compensation, benefits and executive compensation best practices, processes, applicable laws and compliance matters.
- Ability to interface with multiple teams and resources to execute and implement total reward programs.
- Depending on level, experience working with C-suite and preparing presentation for executives and board.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CEBS, CCP, CECP, CBP certification or classes, strong change management skills, and strong functional HR process and practical acumen and technical aptitude.
