This role offers the opportunity to lead and optimize core people operations for a high-growth, fast-paced environment. The People Ops Manager will own end-to-end processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, compliance, and offboarding, while providing hands-on support to managers and employees. You will design scalable workflows, track operational metrics, and partner with leadership to implement efficient, structured people practices that align with company growth objectives. The role balances strategic process design with day-to-day execution and provides visibility into workforce trends and organizational health. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys building systems from scratch, and takes ownership of critical operational initiatives that directly impact employee experience and company success.
- Own and improve people operations processes across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding
- Design, launch, and refine performance review cycles, calibration processes, and supporting documentation
- Administer HR systems, payroll, benefits, employee records, and ensure compliance across states and teams
- Track and report on key people metrics including headcount movements, onboarding progress, and review completion
- Support compensation, promotion cycle logistics, and coordination with legal or external partners as needed
- Partner with managers on employee relations, performance follow-up, and organizational changes
- Identify gaps in current workflows and implement practical, scalable systems to improve consistency and execution
Requirements:
- 5–8+ years of experience in people operations, HR operations, or a people generalist role in a high-growth startup or scale-up
- Hands-on experience building and managing performance review processes and manager-facing workflows
- Strong operational judgment with the ability to introduce structure without overcomplicating processes
- Solid understanding of employee lifecycle operations, compliance fundamentals, and documentation best practices
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle sensitive employee situations with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism
- Comfortable improving workflows, administering HR systems, and tracking operational metrics for organizational insights
