Job Overview

How You Will Make an Impact

• Assist in formulating detailed cost estimates for diverse electrical projects to support competitive and profitable bidding.
• Interpret blueprints and technical specifications to ensure accurate material take-offs and labor calculations.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain up-to-date pricing for electrical components and specialized materials.
• Maintain accurate documentation of bid folders and project files to ensure transparency throughout the estimating process.
• Execute site walkthroughs alongside senior staff to observe the transition from estimated plans to field reality.
• Analyze project drawings to identify potential logistical or technical issues before they impact the final bid.
• Utilize Accubid software to input data and generate reports for review by the Senior Estimating team.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 2 to 3+ years of experience in commercial electrical estimating, preferably in the $500k to $1 million dollar range.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and electrical symbols.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship or technical training program.
• Basic familiarity with Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar estimating software.
• Previous field experience as an electrical helper or apprentice.
