This executive role is responsible for leading the strategic expansion of technology solutions, with a focus on application development, platform engineering, AI-enabled capabilities, and system modernization. The VP will define technology strategy, develop innovative service offerings, and oversee solution architecture across high-value federal and commercial programs. Acting as a senior technology strategist, this position bridges capture and proposal efforts with program execution, ensuring scalable platforms and reusable frameworks that drive competitiveness and delivery excellence. The role involves mentoring teams, shaping AI and automation initiatives, and representing the organization with senior stakeholders. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise modernization, drive AI integration, and lead technology innovation in a mission-critical environment.
- Define and implement strategic technology and solutions offerings in application development, platform engineering, system sustainment, and AI-enabled capabilities
- Serve as lead solution architect on capture and proposal efforts, creating reusable reference architectures and technical volumes
- Provide enterprise technology strategy, ensuring alignment between program execution, practice capability, and company growth objectives
- Lead architecture and modernization initiatives, including cloud-native solutions, DevSecOps pipelines, and AI/ML integration
- Drive AI and automation programs from prototype to production, enhancing operational efficiency and mission outcomes
- Mentor engineering teams, establish technical governance frameworks, and promote engineering standards
- Represent the organization to senior government and commercial stakeholders, influencing technical strategy and decisions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline; MBA or Master’s preferred
- 20+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, and leadership across federal and commercial programs
- Proven experience as solution architect and technical volume lead on federal proposals, with a strong track record on large-scale captures
- Deep knowledge of enterprise modernization, cloud migration (AWS GovCloud, Cloud One, or equivalent IL4/IL5+ environments), distributed systems, and SaaS platform development
- Experience in AI/ML integration, including large language models, intelligent document processing, and workflow automation
- Familiarity with federal acquisition processes, IDIQ/task order vehicles, and 8(a) sole-source procurement
- Strong executive presence, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; active clearance strongly preferred
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Preferred: experience with USAF or Army enterprise IT programs, cybersecurity architecture, Zero Trust, NIST RMF, and critical infrastructure compliance
