We’re seeking a high-impact Director of Sales to lead, structure, and accelerate growth across our energy, petroleum testing and measurement services, including hydrocarbon analysis, fuels and lubricants testing, flow assurance, and custody transfer measurement.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, building and scaling a high-performing sales team, and expanding SPL’s presence across oil & gas markets. You will lead and develop the team, own go-to-market execution, and play a critical role in shaping our commercial strategy, market positioning, and long-term growth. You will operate at both a strategic and execution level to identify high-value opportunities, strengthen key client relationships, and build the structure, discipline, and accountability needed to win in a highly technical, performance-driven industry.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to consistently exceed revenue, pipeline, and sales targets
- Translate strategy into clear sales plans, forecasts, and measurable performance outcomes
- Drive pipeline generation, forecasting accuracy, and disciplined sales execution across energy laboratory and measurement services
- Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities, key accounts, and strategic growth initiatives across oil & gas markets
- Ensure revenue growth aligns with pricing strategy, profitability, and strong deal execution
- Execute go-to-market strategy across petroleum testing, fuels and lubricants analysis, hydrocarbon analysis, flow assurance, and liquid/gas measurement services
- Develop and implement territory and account strategies to grow product quality, custody transfer, blending, and measurement-related business
- Build and scale sales processes, CRM (Salesforce) utilization, pipeline management, and reporting discipline
- Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and development of a high-performing sales team
- Coach and develop team members in technical solution selling, deal strategy, and closing new business
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, laboratory teams, client services, and marketing to align on capabilities and drive growth
- Provide market insight to strengthen service positioning, competitive differentiation, and customer experience
- Lead the build and scale of a high-performing energy sales organization across oil & gas markets
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field strongly preferred
- 10+ years of experience in B2B sales, with 3–5+ years in a sales leadership role within oil & gas, petroleum testing, laboratory services, or technical/industrial industries
- Strong understanding of hydrocarbon analysis, fuels and lubricants testing, flow assurance, and custody transfer measurement services preferred
- Proven experience managing complex sales cycles and high-value client relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), LinkedIn, and sales outreach platforms

Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time, remote position
- Ability to work outside of scheduled hours as needed to meet business needs
- Frequent in-territory travel by car, including extended periods of sitting
- Frequent overnight travel (approximately 40-50%) for regional meetings, client engagements, or industry events
