About This Position

Job Summary
Position ensures covered entities remain compliant with 340B Drug Pricing Program rules, standards and regulations through the performance of comprehensive audits, detailed reviews of patient records, 340B qualified prescriptions and eligibility, and support of process improvement initiatives.

Job Purpose
Position supports and safeguards the integrity of the 340B Drug Pricing Program through regular, comprehensive audits, compliance monitoring, and identification of areas for operational and/or regulatory improvement within participating provider organizations. Position incumbents ensure that the program is executed according to federal guidelines in order to maximize cost savings, optimize compliance controls, and prevent misuse or violations of 340B regulations or practices.

Essential Functions
Essential functions are the primary duties/main job responsibilities that an incumbent must be able to perform, with or without accommodation. Key accountabilities include compliance monitoring, inventory control and financial reporting, documentation and records management, and continuing education and professional development.

Job Factors
Minimum Education Level Required: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, healthcare administration, or a related field. Equivalent work experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Minimum Experience Level Required: Minimum one year of pharmacy, healthcare administration or related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of and familiarity with 340B discount program operations, associated regulations and requirements.
• Strong emerging written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and connect easily with others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, associated program technology (electronic medical/health records) and vendor billing platforms and software; 340B/split-billing software preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare practice operations including electronic health records, associated billing administration, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA.)
• Self-directed and self-motivated, proactively prioritizing competing demands efficiently and independently.
• Strong project management and strategic planning skills that set clear task objectives, achieve desired outcomes, and advance program viability.
• Knowledge and understanding of pharmacy supply chain, contracting, pharmaceutical purchasing and inventory systems preferred.
• Exceptional time management, professionalism and organizational skills and abilities.

Work Environment
Physical Demands

• Mobility within the office and parking lot
• Motor vehicle operation to off-campus locations and events (Travel 5%)
• Access information using a computer
• Access clinical materials and utilize medical equipment within a clinical environment.

Environmental Conditions
Indoors in an environmentally controlled space with exposure to environmental hazards (contaminants, hazardous equipment and infectious disease.) Occasional work outdoors exposed to elements.
Frequent performance of position duties while standing, walking and while in motion and manipulating medical devices and other equipment.
Frequent computer use at a workstation up to two hours or more at a time.
Frequently fast-paced work with unscheduled interruptions.
Work may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime and evening/weekend hours in order to meet patient care demands.
Public contact position requiring clinic-appropriate apparel and use of personal protective equipment.
