About This Position
Salary: $19/hr
Weekly Pay
Shift Available :
The Pet Support department is responsible for shelter admissions, lost pet reunifications, and providing pet/owner support to help prevent shelter surrender. From assisting with Pet Food Pantry events to helping community members remain compliant with local pet laws, this team plays a key role in many aspects of shelter operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

Shift Available :
Schedule:
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
- Includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks
Shift Times:
- Monday–Friday: 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM
- Saturday–Sunday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (based on scheduled days)
- Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required
- Two days off per week (not always consecutive)
- Employees should expect to work at least one weekend day

- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners and community members
- Enter and maintain accurate records in internal systems
- Communicate effectively with a diverse population, including bilingual interactions when needed
- Assist pet owners with resources and guidance to prevent shelter surrender
- Support intake processes, reunifications, and general shelter operations
- Handle sensitive situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques
- Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Maintain reliability and consistent attendance to support team operations
Minimum Qualifications :
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer and data entry proficiency
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
- Experience in animal care is a plus
