Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient as they regain consciousness from anesthesia, check vital signs and heart rate, ensure stable condition.
• Administer medications, manage post-operative pain and treat side effects.
• Maintain safe environment for patients, respond quickly to emergency situations and changes in patient condition.
• Provide post-operative instructions to patients and family members of patient regarding home care, medication and follow-up visits.
• Work closely with surgical team, anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals in providing seamless care during recovery process.
• Document patient information, care provided and medications provided.

Requirements

• RN Licensure
• One-year experience in PACU preferred
