About This Position

Role Overview

The Paralegal supports the Legal team by conducting basic legal research and helping execute Legal workflows efficiently and consistently. The role emphasizes coordination, organization, and follow-through across contracts, compliance support, corporate/governance records, legal research, and other Legal operations activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage intake, tracking, and follow-through for Legal requests. Maintain a centralized tracker of matters, status, dependencies, and next steps; escalate stalled items through established channels.
  • Support contract and amendment workflows, including routing, approvals, and execution steps, in alignment with delegation of authority requirements and established Procurement/CLM processes.
  • Maintain organized contract and matter records, including accurate (non-interpretive) metadata, in the CLM system and other Legal repositories.
  • Conduct basic legal research and information gathering on federal, state, and local laws and regulations relevant to CAA (including multi-state regulatory frameworks); maintain organized reference materials.
  • Provide corporate governance and entity management support, as assigned (e.g., corporate records, filing calendars, checklists).
  • Support compliance and policy administration, as assigned (e.g., policy repositories, review/update cycles, approval coordination, and training acknowledgments/records where applicable).
  • Coordinate administrative aspects of outside counsel matters, as assigned (e.g., matter files, inputs, timelines, and budget/invoice tracking), and ensure consistent document organization.
  • Support litigation, disputes, and investigations assigned (e.g., document collection and organization, basic chronologies, legal hold tracking, and e-discovery logistics with IT/vendors/outside counsel under attorney direction).
  • Develop and maintain Legal process guides, checklists, and reference materials (e.g., intake guidance, routing steps, playbooks for common workflows).
  • Follow confidentiality and records-management requirements, including appropriate handling of sensitive and privileged materials.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and follow-through.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, including providing procedural status updates to stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information, including privileged materials.
  • Ability to support a variety of legal workflows (contracts, governance, compliance support, matter management) and shift priorities as business needs evolve.
  • Comfort working in systems and trackers (e.g., CLM, document management tools, spreadsheets) and improving processes through documentation.
  • Ability to learn new subject matter quickly (including multi-state regulatory frameworks) and capture information in clear, organized reference materials.


Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate and/or relevant experience in a legal department or law firm.
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a paralegal, virtual experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting a range of legal matters, such as contract workflows, legal research, corporate/governance support, compliance support, and/or matter management.
  • Experience with contract repositories/CLM systems and cross-functional routing/approvals preferred.
  • Proficiency with common business tools (e.g., Microsoft 365) and comfort maintaining trackers and process documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with consistent responsiveness and reliable follow-through.

Compensation & Other Information

  • Location: Fully Remote
  • Pay Rate: Based on a variety of factors in accordance with applicable law including the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and experience.
  • Reports To: General Counsel
