Position
The City of Sharonville Finance Department seeks an administrative professional to support its Tax Division. Under the direction of the Tax Administrator, the Tax Associate will perform a wide variety of routine and complex clerical, accounting, and auditing functions. Primary responsibilities include assisting taxpayers and preparers; processing tax payments; maintaining and updating records; preparing correspondence; and serving as a point of contact for tax-related inquiries.
This position requires the exercise of initiative, independent judgment, and advanced clerical skills, often involving sensitive and confidential information. Qualified candidates should have excellent administrative, organizational, and customer service skills; proficiency in advanced computer applications; and the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and the general public.
Salary and Benefits
The compensation package includes an hourly range of $18.00–$22.00, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test; post-secondary education is preferred.
- At least one (1) year of responsible experience in an administrative or office management setting.
- Experience in public, nonprofit, or private-sector tax preparation is desirable. A combination of additional education, professional experience, and training may be considered.
