Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000
The Technical Sales Engineer position is remote.
How will you make an impact:
Work closely with the ADLINK sales team on new opportunities and drive solutions to meet customers’ needs which may include carrier designs, semi-custom based ADLINK standard products, and full custom system level solutions. Provide architectural ideas and solutions to meet customers’ requirements. Learn the customers pain points. Lead engineering teams responsible for the design of these products from concept through to production launch. This role also requires strong technical program management skills. The types of designs will vary based on customer, market and company needs but in general can include leading edge next generation x86 processor, ARM based tablets, COM Express, SMARC, and NVIDIA Jetson, carriers, products, or systems.

• Minimum of BSEE or equivalent.
Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years related experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications:
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to work with customers as well as internal teams
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams
• Familiarity with high-speed design and debug techniques
• Familiarity with PC architecture
• Must be organized through and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Using a computer
• Using standard SW tools for daily tasks like Word, Excel, Power Point
• Using Engineering tools to view Schematics and PCB Layouts
• Using small tools like screw drivers and plyers
• English speaking with good verbal and written communication skills

What will you do:
- Manage new opportunities that require Technical Sales Engineer support through the use of SalesForce.
- Work with the ADLINK sales team to win custom system level design opportunities which will include travel for onsite customer meetings.
- Create customer facing presentations and documentation materials specific to technical content. Do not let the Sales team create this content, this is the responsibility of the Technical Sales Engineer.
- Work with PSM team, when necessary, to support new opportunities that require detailed technical support.
- Create and provide detailed, customer facing, technical content which will be used in Proposals and Statement of Work (SOW).
- Strong communication skills including presenting to the customer.
- Strong Technical Program Management skills required to lead development of projects during the NPI process.
- Support customers technical requests and issues, drive to root cause, and bring value to our customers by being responsive to their needs.
- Track and manage ODM/DMS+ projects using Excel for action trackers to ensure project performance and customer expectations are met.
- Create and manage project schedules (MS Project) to maintain project timelines for ODM/DMS+ and customized projects.
- Lead hardware design activities from prototype to production phases, driving resolutions for customer reported issues.
- Help develop NRE, Tooling, and certification plans.
- Review and identify gaps in BOM Costs by working with internal AATI engineering teams, the Business Unit, and DMS+ as appropriate.
- In San Jose Office as needed.

- Provide regular management reports detailing team metrics including work loading, schedule tracking, project cost tracking, and others as agreed too.
- Mentor, train, and nurture junior team members on ADLINK process; correct design techniques and best practices
