Event Security Officer at AG Security Group Inc – New York, New York

Job Description:

AG Security Group Inc. is seeking experienced Event Security Officers for short-term assignments at multiple venue locations throughout Manhattan. This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role requiring professionalism, situational awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a larger security detail.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor assigned venue areas and proactively address safety concerns
Respond to incidents, alarms, or disturbances with professionalism and composure
Complete incident and daily activity reports accurately and on time
Enforce venue policies and event protocols while maintaining a customer-service focus
Coordinate with venue management, event staff, and fellow security team members
Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity
Assist with crowd management, access control, and emergency response as needed

Assignment Details:

This is a short-term, temporary assignment based on event scheduling needs
Officers must be available for standby and on-call shifts with short notice deployment
Shift schedules will be communicated in advance; flexibility is essential
Assignment length is approximately 2–4 weeks, with no guarantee of extension

Professional Appearance Standards:

All security personnel are required to maintain a professional appearance at all times. The standard uniform includes a black suit. Candidates are expected to arrive to their interview dressed accordingly.

Qualifications:

Valid NY State Security License (8-hr & 16-hr certificates required)
Professional appearance and demeanor required
Weekend and evening availability required
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 year experience in security, law enforcement, or public safety
Ability to respond to short-notice callouts within the Manhattan area
