This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic finance function by taking ownership of the cash application process within a fast-paced, global environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounts receivable operations, helping maintain clean financial records and supporting critical business decisions. Working remotely, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial workflows. The position blends transactional accounting with analytical problem-solving, giving you visibility into broader financial operations. You’ll help streamline processes, reduce errors, and support month-end activities. This is an ideal role for someone detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling high volumes of financial data in a remote setting.
- Manage and execute the end-to-end cash application process for distributor and wholesale customer payments
- Accurately apply payments, credits, deductions, and adjustments within the ERP system
- Review remittance details and supporting documentation to ensure correct allocation of funds
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies such as short payments, chargebacks, and unapplied cash in collaboration with internal teams and customers
- Track and document trade deductions and assist in resolving outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and support account reconciliations
- Prepare regular reports related to AR balances, deductions, and cash application performance
- Contribute to month-end close activities, including reconciliations, schedules, and journal entries
- Support audits and assist with ad hoc financial analyses and accounting tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, or cash applications roles
- Proven ability to manage high volumes of transactions with accuracy and efficiency
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems; familiarity with NetSuite or similar platforms is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work within US business hours and meet tight deadlines in a remote environment
- Experience in distributor or wholesale environments is a plus
- Background in industries such as CPG, retail, food & beverage, or e-commerce is advantageous
- Familiarity with trade deductions and related processes is a plus
