POSITION SUMMARY
This position will be for a food truck.
Working in a food truck environment requires flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. You will be part of a dynamic and friendly team focused on delivering great food and customer experiences.
The Unit Manager is responsible for the full operational performance of a Slice Spot location. This role oversees daily operations, team leadership, sales execution, and profitability, ensuring a fast, consistent, and high-quality guest experience. The ideal candidate is hands-on, disciplined, and highly operational, capable of running a lean team while maintaining strong standards in a high-volume environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
• Oversee all daily operations of the unit (opening, service, closing)
• Ensure consistent execution of product standards (pizza quality, speed, presentation)
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and brand standards at all times
• Operate and oversee TurboChef oven production efficiency
• Preventative maintenance of truck
2. TEAM LEADERSHIP
• Hire, train, and develop team members (2–3 employees per unit)
• Create and manage weekly schedules aligned with business demand
• Enforce accountability, discipline, and performance standards
• Lead by example with strong work ethic and professionalism
3. FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
• Manage labor cost and scheduling efficiency
• Monitor food cost, waste, and inventory levels
• Track daily sales and ensure accurate reporting
• Maintain strict cash handling procedures
4. SALES & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
• Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service
• Drive sales through upselling and strong guest interaction
• Maintain high visibility and engagement in high-traffic locations (e.g., Walmart)
• Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
5. SYSTEMS & COMPLIANCE
• Ensure proper use of:
• POS system (Graine)
• Inventory and reporting (Restaurant365)
• Checklists and training
• Maintain all food safety and sanitation standards
• Follow all company SOPs and operational guidelines
6. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
• Daily sales & revenue growth
• Labor % vs target
• Food cost & waste control
• Speed of service
• Guest satisfaction
• Operational compliance score
6. REQUIREMENTS
• 1–3 years of experience in food service, hospitality, or retail management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Basic financial understanding (labor, cost control, sales tracking)
• Reliable, organized, and results-driven
• Food handlers certification
• Food Managers certification
7. WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Mobile food truck / outdoor environment
• High-volume, fast-paced service
• Requires standing for extended periods
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and peak hours

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE
• Base Salary: $50,000 + Bonus
• Performance Bonus: Based on:
