This high-impact leadership role sits at the center of strategic execution, operational alignment, and cross-functional decision-making within a fast-scaling healthcare technology environment. The Director, Strategy & Operations is responsible for translating executive vision into structured, measurable programs that drive organizational effectiveness and accelerate business outcomes. You will design and lead a decision-making framework that ensures initiatives are prioritized, tracked, and executed in alignment with long-term strategic goals. Acting as a trusted partner to senior leadership, you will synthesize complex inputs across teams into clear recommendations and actionable roadmaps. This role requires strong analytical thinking, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence without direct authority in a highly collaborative environment. You will also play a key role in strengthening operational rigor by improving visibility into risks, dependencies, and performance metrics. In addition, you will mentor a small high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and execution excellence.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and implement a structured decision-making and governance framework to track and prioritize cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Translate executive strategy into clear program roadmaps, ensuring alignment across product, engineering, operations, and business functions.
  • Serve as the central coordination point for strategic initiatives, consolidating inputs into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage program risks, dependencies, and critical path issues, ensuring timely mitigation and resolution.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven executive updates, including progress reports, performance insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Partner closely with executive stakeholders to drive alignment, resolve tradeoffs, and ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Lead and mentor a small team, fostering operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement practices.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in program management, strategy, operations, or related leadership roles in complex, fast-paced technology environments.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Director-level or equivalent leadership role managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong background in healthcare, health tech, or similarly complex regulated industries strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage enterprise-level initiatives within large organizations or top-tier technology companies.
  • Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to structure ambiguity, prioritize competing initiatives, and drive alignment across multiple teams.
  • Experience building operational frameworks, governance models, or program management systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $170,000–$190,000 annually
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with significant employer premium coverage
  • Generous paid parental leave (up to 12 weeks)
  • Remote-first work environment with flexibility across the United States
  • Unlimited paid time off plus 10 company holidays
  • 401(k) retirement plan with Fidelity and 4% employer match
  • Fast-paced, low-bureaucracy environment focused on high-impact work
  • Opportunity to work alongside mission-driven, highly skilled teammates in healthcare innovation
