This senior-level capture leadership role is focused on driving strategic growth initiatives within the defense and federal technology sector, specifically supporting Air Force and Space Force opportunities. The Capture Director will lead end-to-end capture efforts for high-value contracts, shaping winning strategies from early qualification through proposal submission. This role requires deep collaboration with business development, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to define competitive positioning, pricing strategies, and value propositions. It is a highly strategic and execution-driven position that combines market insight, customer engagement, and disciplined pursuit management. The role also plays a key part in building trusted relationships with government stakeholders and partners while influencing large-scale mission-critical programs. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced capture professional in a mission-focused, innovation-driven environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead capture strategy development and execution for major defense opportunities across Air Force and Space Force programs
  • Drive win strategy creation including win themes, solution shaping, competitive analysis, and teaming strategies
  • Develop and oversee Price-to-Win, pricing strategy, and bid/no-bid recommendations for senior leadership decision-making
  • Manage end-to-end capture lifecycle activities, ensuring alignment with structured business development processes and governance gates
  • Shape opportunities from early qualification through proposal submission to maximize probability of win
  • Collaborate with business development, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to design competitive solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and strategic partners
  • Develop and implement marketing and account strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives
  • Ensure effective communication of capture status, risks, and progress to senior leadership
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and disciplined execution across capture pursuits

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in capture management or business development within the defense or federal technology sector
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale capture efforts, including opportunities exceeding $100M
  • Strong experience in IT services, cloud, cybersecurity, or lifecycle software development environments
  • Deep understanding of capture methodologies, competitive analysis, and federal procurement processes
  • Ability to develop pricing strategies, teaming approaches, and win themes for complex pursuits
  • Strong leadership skills with experience guiding cross-functional, distributed teams
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level engagement
  • U.S. citizenship required with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret and Top Secret clearance
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed for opportunity support
