Registered Dietitian (Temporary) at The Care Group – Abbotsford, British Columbia

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Registered Dietitian to assume the responsibilities of a Food Service Manager at The Mayfair on a temporary basis. This role is essential in ensuring residents receive high-quality, nutritionally appropriate meals while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory and food safety standards.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a Temporary Registered Dietitian to join The Mayfair Senior Living & Care. This position is available for an immediate start and is expected to continue until December 2026, or may conclude earlier with a minimum of two (2) weeks’ written notice by either party.

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily food service operations within the LTC home
• Ensure menus meet nutritional requirements and dietary standards for residents
• Supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
• Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident care plans
• Manage food inventory, and ordering processes in collaboration with the chef/cook
• Conduct audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives
• Address resident and family feedback regarding food services

Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian in good standing with the appropriate regulatory body
• Preferred: Previous experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or LTC setting
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and menu planning
• Familiarity with applicable food safety and LTC regulations
