This leadership role is focused on driving the design, development, and delivery of large-scale engineering and data solutions within the healthcare payment integrity and audit recovery domain. The Director Engineering will oversee distributed teams of software engineers and data professionals, ensuring high-quality execution of complex technical initiatives aligned with business and client objectives. This role requires close collaboration with product, architecture, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and data-driven solutions. It combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight, ensuring engineering excellence across multiple projects and teams. The position also plays a key role in shaping engineering culture, driving continuous improvement, and strengthening delivery practices in a fast-paced, regulated environment. This is an impactful opportunity for a seasoned engineering leader passionate about healthcare technology and enterprise-scale systems.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, manage, and scale high-performing engineering and data teams across multiple geographies
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of engineering initiatives, including design, development, deployment, and maintenance of solutions
  • Drive execution of technical strategy, architecture standards, and engineering best practices across teams
  • Partner with Product, Program Management, Infrastructure, Operations, and other stakeholders to deliver business value
  • Ensure utilization, performance, and productivity of engineering resources while optimizing team velocity and efficiency
  • Guide architectural reviews, code quality standards, security, compliance, and CI/CD pipeline improvements
  • Hire, develop, coach, and retain engineering talent while fostering a strong performance-driven culture
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in software development, testing, automation, and delivery processes
  • Ensure operational excellence, system reliability, and alignment with SaaS and DevOps best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3–5+ years in engineering leadership roles managing high-performing teams
  • Strong technical background in software development, including experience with Java, C#, .NET, SQL, ETL tools, and relational databases
  • Proven experience managing distributed engineering teams, including offshore or multi-location delivery models
  • Strong understanding of SaaS architecture, DevOps practices, and scalable system design
  • Experience implementing Agile methodologies, preferably SAFe, in complex engineering environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale software delivery with a focus on quality, performance, and timeliness
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance short-term execution with long-term strategic planning

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $160,000 to $200,000 depending on experience and location
