Music Therapist

Join our compassionate team as a Music Therapist, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for patients receiving end-of-life care. Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement individualized music therapy plans tailored to each patient's preferences.

- Conduct music therapy sessions in patients' homes and healthcare facilities, ensuring a comfortable and respectful environment.

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to integrate music therapy into overall patient care plans.

- Assess patients' responses to therapy and adjust approaches accordingly to maximize benefits.

- Educate family members and caregivers on how to incorporate music therapy techniques to support patient comfort and engagement.

- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and patient records in compliance with organizational policies.

- Stay informed about current research and best practices in music therapy and hospice care.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in music therapy from an accredited program. Board Certified preferred (MT-BC).

- Experience working with acute care/terminal patients in hospice or hospital settings preferred.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Flexibility to travel to patients' homes and various healthcare facilities.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
