In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize cloud-native systems that support AI-powered medical imaging workflows and large-scale clinical trial platforms.
- Design and implement scalable, multi-tenant SaaS architectures using cloud-native services
- Develop microservices for medical imaging data processing and AI/ML workloads
- Build and maintain APIs and integrations with clinical trial and healthcare systems
- Implement DICOM-compliant data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and storage of imaging data
- Integrate AI/ML models, including computer vision and generative AI, into imaging workflows
- Develop real-time and batch processing systems for large-scale medical imaging datasets
- Support integration with medical imaging viewers (e.g., OHIF, Cornerstone.js) and visualization tools
- Implement security, compliance, and regulatory requirements (FDA, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11)
- Build monitoring, observability, and performance optimization systems for SaaS platforms
- Work on database design and large-scale data management for imaging and AI outputs
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices
- Contribute to system reliability, scalability, and production support initiatives
The ideal candidate has strong backend engineering experience combined with exposure to cloud-native systems, healthcare technology, and AI-driven platforms.
- Significant post-qualification experience in software engineering, preferably in healthcare or medical imaging domains
- Strong experience building cloud-native SaaS applications and distributed systems
- Proficiency in backend development using Java, Python, or C#
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and real-time communication systems
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and scalable system design
- Experience integrating AI/ML models into production systems, preferably in imaging or healthcare use cases
- Knowledge of DICOM standards, medical imaging workflows, and related protocols (HL7 FHIR is a plus)
- Experience with cloud platforms and serverless/scalable architectures
- Familiarity with containerization, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices
- Experience with relational and NoSQL database design
- Understanding of regulated software development environments (FDA, GxP, ISO 13485 preferred)
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
