Accountabilities:

Install, configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise database systems across platforms including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Couchbase.
Ensure database performance, availability, security, and reliability across production environments.
Provide technical support for database administration activities such as user management, permissions, patching, and data migration/export tasks.
Configure and manage backup solutions and develop disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
Monitor database performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities and potential system issues.
Implement and maintain high-availability solutions such as Oracle RAC, Data Guard, SQL Server Always On, and InnoDB Cluster.
Develop and maintain technical documentation including configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Automate administrative tasks using scripting tools and improve operational efficiency through automation initiatives.
Collaborate with infrastructure and IT teams to support database integration and infrastructure enhancement projects.
Ensure compliance with database security best practices including auditing, access management, and patch governance.

Requirements:

3–5 years of experience in database administration within enterprise IT environments.
Strong expertise in administering SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and related database systems.
Hands-on experience implementing and managing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
Solid understanding of database security practices, backup strategies, and performance tuning.
Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
Basic understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex database issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional technical teams.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
Relevant database certifications are highly valued, including Microsoft Azure Database Administrator or Oracle DBA certifications.
