Job Description
The Paying Agent Specialist is primarily responsible for the disbursement of payments to contractors.

- Apply payments to assignments appropriately
- Review and follow up on payments that don’t match assignments
- Review full and partial payment requests
- Communicate with service providers to ensure proper documentation is submitted.
- Communicate with the PAS Training Instructor so the training program can be changed to focus on frequently-missed items.
- Answer telephone calls from the PAS queues.
- Respond to contractor inquiries concerning PAS processes.
- Research and process refunds back to the carrier appropriately.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Competencies

- Minimum of AA/AS or equivalent education required.
- 2+ years of customer service experience that includes accounting/banking-related job duties in a professional office environment.
- Strong attention to detail and mindful of task completion.
- Ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities.
- Problem solving skills, including financial reconciliation and issue/error resolution.
- Must be able to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
- Strong computer skills including Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong communication skills including verbal and written communications.
- Desire to participate in the creation and execution of processes and procedures

Requirements:Required education and experience
· AA/AS or equivalent
· Customer service experience.
· Intermediate computer skills.
