As the Shipping Supervisor, you will play a critical, hands-on leadership role in ensuring our industry-leading performance parts reach customers accurately, safely, and on time. Requirements:

Operational Oversight:

  • Process all sales orders per the department metrics
  • Ensures Bills of Materials are processed according to process
  • Ensures shipping metrics are met
  • Logistical Coordination including domestic, international, and freight
  • Filling gaps in shipping/ packing when needed
  • Organization of daily priorities for department
  • Communicate Epicor challenges to get shipping issues resolved
  • SOP’s for Epicor shipping transactions
  • Collaborate with the team to outline the standard work, document, and publish the process and train all team members involved.
  • Interdepartmental and intradepartmental SOP creation as needed.
  • Place purchase orders for replenishment supplies and small components per reorder guidelines
  • Ensure shipping is properly staffed

Team Support & Leadership:

  • Provide day-today guidance to shipping personnel
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new employees
  • Support employee development through coaching and skills training
  • Participate in or contribute to annual performance reviews and feedback discussions
  • Reinforce company procedures, safety practices, and standards
  • Help maintain productivity, accuracy, and workflow efficiency
  • Promote teamwork and a positive work environment
  • Measure team daily on Boxes/Hour metric
  • Ensure all other required departmental duties are met as well
  • Aid in process improvements

Quality & Compliance:

  • Complete quality control audits on finished goods and finished pallets to ensure, pack outs are correct, and pallets are being labeled correctly
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety rules
  • Play an active part in root cause, corrective action project management on shipping resolutions
  • Collaborate on corrective actions and ensure they are implemented to eliminate future occurrences
  • Investigate all RAP findings and work with manager to reduce risks
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shipping area

Administrative Support:

  • Perform basic system transactions or shipping updates
  • Assist with tracking, reporting, or shipment coordination
  • Communicate with internal departments as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required, degree or certifications preferred
  • 3-5 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment with complex products and multi-level bills of material.
  • Must possess knowledge of Material Handling and Shipping and Inventory Control processes
  • Knowledgeable about lean manufacturing
  • Prior lead, trainer, or informal leadership experience
  • Familiarity with multiple carriers and shipment methods

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with shipping software or ERP systems
  • Basic computer or shipping system proficiency

Soft Skills:

  • Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic
  • Ability to lead by example in a hands-on environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented, and adaptable
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Customer focused mindset

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work on the floor for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to approximately 25 – 75 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and reach overhead
  • Ability to perform active operational duties
