INVENTORY RECEIVER at New Morning Market – Woodbury, Connecticut

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Receiver to join our grocery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our inventory management process. This role is critical to maintaining smooth operations and supporting customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
• Record inventory data into inventory management systems with precision.
• Label and organize products in designated storage areas.
• Coordinate returns/credits for incorrect or damaged items.
• Maintain a clean and safe receiving area in compliance with company standards.
• Collaborate with grocery staff to ensure inventory accuracy and timely distribution.
• Participate in fulfillment of pick lists for grocery retail floor.
• Assist with cycle counts and audits as needed.

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment with frequent standing, lifting, and moving.
• Use of equipment such as pallet jacks and barcode scanners.

• Prior experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with inventory software a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
