About this Role:

The Marketing & Communications Specialist supports the execution of marketing initiatives across Securityplus Federal Credit Union by coordinating campaigns, developing content, and ensuring consistent brand delivery across internal and external channels.

This role translates marketing strategy into execution by supporting campaign implementation, communications, and cross-functional marketing efforts. Working closely with the VP of Performance Marketing & Sales Strategy, the position plays a key role in ensuring marketing initiatives are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with organizational priorities.

The Marketing & Communications Specialist also supports storytelling efforts by capturing and sharing the Securityplus brand through communications, digital content, and community engagement, helping maintain a consistent and compelling presence across all channels.

Requirements:

In this full-time Exempt role, you’ll be responsible for:

Support Marketing Campaign Execution

Assist in the implementation of marketing campaigns, promotions, and product initiatives by coordinating timelines, deliverables, and cross-departmental efforts. You will help ensure campaigns are executed efficiently and aligned with organizational goals.

Develop and Support Communications

Draft and support content such as blog posts, announcements, website updates, and internal communications that reflect Securityplus’ voice, brand, and messaging standards.

Coordinate Marketing Projects Across Teams

Serve as a central coordination point for marketing requests, managing project timelines, tracking deliverables, and ensuring alignment across departments.

Support Digital and Social Media Content

Assist with creating and scheduling social media content, updating website content, and supporting digital marketing initiatives across channels.

Contribute to Storytelling and Brand Visibility

Help capture and share stories from across the organization, including member impact, community involvement, and key initiatives that strengthen brand awareness.

Support Events and Community Engagement

Provide marketing support for events by coordinating materials, signage, and promotional items, and capturing content for future use.

Assist with Internal Communications

Support internal messaging, announcements, and campaigns that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned.

Support Marketing Operations and Execution

Help manage marketing materials, vendor coordination, project tracking, and day-to-day execution to ensure marketing efforts run smoothly and efficiently.

Ensure Quality and Consistency

Maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and brand consistency across all marketing materials, communications, and deliverables.

Collaborate and Grow Within the Team

Work closely with teams across the organization while developing your marketing skills and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing environment.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or marketing support roles
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and support cross-functional initiatives
  • Basic understanding of marketing channels, content development, and brand consistency
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, or related field
  • Experience supporting marketing campaigns, communications, or digital content
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, website content management, or marketing tools
  • Experience in financial services or community-focused organizations

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position involves typical office work such as the use of the PC, reviewing manuals and related office papers, the use of the telephone, fax, and photocopy machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, occasionally stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
