I. Position Summary:
Provides support functions directly and/or indirectly related to cardiac catheterization, invasive vascular and/or electrophysiology procedures.
II. Major Responsibilities:
Assists with evaluation, preparation, and after care of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, invasive vascular, or electrophysiology procedures. Prepares, calibrates and operates all equipment used during procedures, including physiologic recorder, x-ray equipment, film processor and life support equipment. Performs quality assurance and maintains related documentation for x-ray equipment, film processor and lead aprons. Monitors documentation related to radiation exposure of HVIL staff. Monitors records, processes and interprets intracardiac pressures & electrocardiographic signals during procedures.

Required:
- Associate degree
- Certified Registered Radiology Technologist (RRT)
- Certified in basic life support.
Experience/Skills:
Required:
- 5 year’s experience in special procedures, radiographic imaging or equivalent.
- Experience in advanced life support and surgical techniques.
Preferred:
Previous cardiac catheterization, invasive vascular, and/or electrophysiology laboratory experience is preferred.
