Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Supply Chain Analyst to assist with the daily execution of our supply chain and materials operations. Reporting directly to the VP of Supply Chain, the Analyst will be responsible for optimizing the end-to-end flow of materials and products, by leveraging data analytics to identify inefficiencies, forecast demand, and ensure that production schedules align with inventory levels and customer needs. And ensuring that the strategic vision set by leadership is translated into operational success. This role focuses on maintaining the integrity of our manufacturing plans, managing vendor communications, and reviewing the data accuracy of our ERP and product management systems. The Supply Chain Analyst serves as a critical bridge between Engineering, R&D, and our manufacturing partners to ensure a resilient and efficient pipeline of material. responsible for optimizing the end-to-end flow of materials and products. They leverage data analytics to identify inefficiencies, forecast demand, and ensure that production schedules align with inventory levels and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and interpret historical data on supply chain operations—such as sourcing, warehousing, and delivery—to identify cost-saving opportunities and bottlenecks. Demand Forecasting: Develop models to predict future inventory requirements, ensuring a balance between supply and demand to prevent overstocking or production delays. Performance Monitoring: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like order fulfillment rates, lead times, and inventory turnover to measure operational success. Central Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain the master production schedule (Mill/Production/Warehouse) by utilizing our planning systems to ensure customer orders are met while optimizing plant capacity. Vendor & Supplier Management: Assess vendor performance through data-driven scorecards, identify potential supply chain risks, and maintain relationships with external partners to ensure compliance and reliability. Process Optimization: Design and implement projects to improve warehouse efficiency, route planning, and overall supply chain resilience. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with operations, logistics, and IT departments to synchronize strategies and resolve supply chain issues. Supply Continuity: Monitor supplier leads times and capacity constraints to develop contingency plans and prevent production bottlenecks. Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Utilize ERP/Planning systems to calculate and monitor raw material requirements, ensuring all necessary components are available to support the production schedule without creating excess waste. Manufacturing Plan Execution: Reconcile quantities with physical inventory at manufacturing sites. Execute purchase orders with vendors based on MRP reviews to maintain required inventory levels. Transaction Management: Oversee item transfers and purchase orders receiving across all operation locations, including raw materials in-transit. Open PO Oversight: Review and maintain the Open PO Report weekly to update delivery dates and maintain reliable pipeline visibility for MRP outputs. Support quoting processes to ensure competitive raw material pricing and identify long-lead components early to support proactive planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience with internship or 1 years’ experience in Supply Chain. Comfortable communicating with people outside the organization. Proven ability to work in a high pressure, time-sensitive environment. Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to embrace changes to adapt to shifting business needs and emerging technologies. Aptitude to exercise considerable independent judgment, maintain confidentiality, and professional behavior that collectively adds value to company. Well-organized and self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision, including ability to independently identify, research, and resolve issues. Possess strong attention to detail. Willingness to travel as needed. Highly proficient or willing to learn Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Working Conditions:
This position will require some physical effort such as pulling and lifting. Repetitive actions such as typing, answering phones, etc. Sitting and/or standing for long periods of time.
