About This Position

Summary:

This position is a part of the Moonlight Basin Outfitters team that requires guest service experience while facilitating activity equipment rentals and experiences both indoors and out. Attendants will facilitate outdoor activity rentals at a small mountain lake location including canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards as well as facilitate indoor activities and games in an indoor basketball gymnasium and climbing wall facility. Attendants should be able to take ownership and maintain their workspace while providing safe and fun experiences for all!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet members, assist with check-in and equipment usage, waiver completion, and field questions regarding trail maps and activities in both the gymnasium and beach space.
  • Provide safe, fun, and professional tips while outfitting members in gymnasium, climbing wall, and beachfront amenities within Moonlight Basin guidelines.
  • Build relationships with members and guests to verify appropriate use of spaces.
  • Oversee use and cleanliness of beach, yurt, and gymnasium spaces.
  • Complete daily opening and closing tasks including, but not limited to trash and recycling disposal, restocking and maintaining facilities, and towel restock.
  • Communicate with supervisory staff regarding inventory, safety concerns, and areas of improvement.
  • Assist in special events as needed.

  • Takes ownership of space as it pertains to the cleanliness and operations of lake, gymnasium, and Yurt areas.

  • Prioritizes the efficiency and appearance of spaces on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with customer service as it pertains to indoor sports, lifeguarding, and family events a plus.
  • Resourcefulness, good judgement, and self-confidence.
  • A professional, positive, and personable attitude while interacting comfortably with an affluent group of members and the positions supervisory staff.
  • Effective and timely communication skills, written and oral, with a variety of ages and skill levels.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain before start date.

Working Conditions:

This position will be 40% indoors (gymnasium) and 60% outdoors (Ulery’s Lake). Work hours will vary depending on location; typically beginning at 8am and ending at 6pm. Conditions in the field are typical to those found at a lodge and working outdoors, exposed to the weather, and working in the water, grass, mud, with uneven and sometimes slippery surfaces.

When indoors the work environment is characterized as that found in a typical office and indoor basketball court environment, with moderate temperatures and noise levels.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, and/or walk for ten hours per day.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in all summer weather conditions as expected in Rocky Mountain region.
  • Ability to use various tools and equipment as needed, including but not limited to, canoes, kayaks, sports balls, and indoor climbing wall equipment.
  • Bend at the waist, twist upper body, kneel, crawl, climb, reach above shoulders, flex and extend ankle, knee and hip joints.
  • Lift and carry up to 30lbs+, push and pull 10-20lbs.
