About This Position
The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved. This role leads production employees, coordinates workflow, drives continuous improvement, and maintains compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing operations and production staff.
Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and machine utilization to optimize productivity.
Enforce safety policies and lead incident prevention and corrective actions.
Train, coach, and evaluate production employees; support skill development.
Address employee performance, attendance, and disciplinary issues in partnership with HR.
Monitor product quality and collaborate with Quality teams to resolve issues.
Coordinate maintenance needs to minimize downtime.
Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate production, quality, and labor reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO/IATF standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support hiring and onboarding of production personnel.
Drive employee engagement and retention within the production team.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3–5+ years of manufacturing experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
Knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with production reporting systems and Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Exposure to typical manufacturing environment conditions.
