About This Position

Job Title: Strategic Business Analyst

Location: Remote

Department: Analytics & Strategy

Reports to: Director, Analytics & Strategy

Company: BriteCap Financial

About Us:

BriteCap Financial is a leading financial technology company dedicated to providing innovative lending solutions to small businesses since 2003. We specialize in helping small businesses nationwide thrive by offering tailored financing products and exceptional customer service. Our team is committed to fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment where individuals can grow and succeed.

Position Overview:

The Analytics & Strategy team at BriteCap is seeking a Strategic Business Analyst to serve as the data backbone for our product. This is a high-impact role where your analysis won't just stop at “what happened” — you will dive deep to translate complex datasets into high-stakes strategic recommendations for the leadership team; your findings will dictate our operation strategy, define our competitive edge, and directly optimize our profitability. Your mission is to decode the "Look-to-Book" funnel, ensuring that every feature we build and every lead we chase contributes to high-volume, high-quality growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Reporting: Build automated dashboards and reports that provide comprehensive view of business performance, enabling business owners to easily understand the movements of critical metrics and to host in-depth business reviews.
  • Operation Strategy & Optimization: Analyze operation activity and performance data to provide reliable forecasting tools as well as data-backed proposals on driving operation efficiency and funnel conversion.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research on competitor offers and market trend to identify gaps and opportunities for our products. Partner with Sales, Finance, and Risk to understand "won" and "lost" deals, translating findings into actionable enhancement or pivots.
  • Marketing Strategy Support: Identify high-yield acquisition channels by analyzing lead quality and volume. Partner with Marketing to optimize marketing spendings to reduce cost of acquisition.
  • Experimentation: Design and analyze A/B testing to validate product hypotheses and policy effectiveness. Build champion/challenger strategy for continuous product optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Stack: Expert SQL and hands-on experience with Python for data analytics. Skilled in at least one mainstream BI tool (Tableau, PowerBI, QuickSuite, etc.).
  • Fintech/Lending Background: Prior experience in business lending, credit products, or commercial banking is highly preferred.
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. Must have 3 or more years of relevant experience.

Skills/Attributes:

  • Deep Analytics: Proven ability to explore large, messy datasets and extract meaningful insights. Having a natural curiosity for what you see so you never stop at the surface-level "what" - you dig until you find the "so what?".
  • Critical Thinking & Communication: Exceptional ability to “tell a story” with findings. You can turn a spreadsheet into a clear, persuasive presentation that aligns cross-functional stakeholders.
