This skilled position involves installing, maintaining, and replacing electric motors, pumps, tanks, valves, and other associated plumbing equipment used to store and transfer liquid feed supplements for feedyard and dairy cattle rations.
This position is based in Merrill, IA, and involves scheduled and emergency maintenance at customer facilities in surrounding areas. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Hourly Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, modify, and repair feed handling equipment.
- Clean poly and steel feed holding tanks as needed.
- Prepare work reports detailing repairs made, materials used, and required parts, tools, and supplies.
- Maintain inventory of materials and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to express a respectful attitude when interacting with customers, and co-workers, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices and methods.
- Welding experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing is a plus.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Valid drivers license and safe driving record required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and climb ladders.
- Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a drug test and background check.
