POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Manager is a full-time position that reports directly to the Pastor of the church. The requirements for this position include a strong background in financial and facility management. Secondary responsibilities include oversight and maintenance of Data Processing systems, oversight of personnel, budgeting and planning. This position requires being a practicing Catholic in good standing with the church.
I. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial management
- Ex-officio member and chair of Finance Council
- Budgeting
- Cash management
- Contribution processing/enhancement
- Festival Oversight
- Facilities
- Maintenance of spaces and equipment
- Safety
- Event scheduling
- Scheduling of doors and HVAC
- Data processing
- Personnel
- Oversight of staff
- Hiring of new staff members
- Maintenance of all employment records
- Benefit administration
- Planning
- Long- and short-term planning for all processes
- Staff development
II. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related field, preferred. An equivalent of education and experience will be considered
- Compassionate personality, patient, responsible and committed to building strong working relationships.
- Practicing Catholic familiar with Church administrative and organizational structures.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of all Microsoft programs, especially ParishSoft general ledger, online giving, offering and other ChMS applications.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Takes extra care in regards to numeration details.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
- Skilled in customer service and/or working with challenging personality types in demanding situations.
- Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
- Parishioner Database Maintenance
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Pastor
