Overview
Lutron has an immediate opening for a service-oriented and collaborative Technical Support Specialist to join our Technical Support team at Lutron's office location in Cartago Costa Rica. This position will be specifically focused on providing exceptional service to our residential and commercial customers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a one-stop solution for product education, selection, and compatibility while troubleshooting customer issues and proposing effective solutions.
- Act as the voice of the customer by sharing feedback across the organization and building a strong internal network.
- Apply creative and analytical thinking to solve customer and business challenges.
- Act as a peer resource by coaching teammates, leading one-on-one trainings, and contributing to SOPs and knowledge content.
- Develop deep technical expertise in at least one product or technology area and support complex troubleshooting and escalations, while also having a working knowledge of other product lines.
- Demonstrate ownership by resolving most issues independently and championing customers through thoughtful escalation.
- Identify trends and recommend data-informed process or training improvements.
- Build cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Field Service, Customer Service, and Sales.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues or working in a customer-facing capacity
- Experience mentoring team members or leading teams a plus
- Must live within commutable distance of Cartago to accommodate in-office schedule
- Willingness and ability to work 12 to 16 weekend shifts per year? (A weekend shift equals a Saturday or Sunday shift, not both weekend days.)
